Ronaldo spent nine years playing for the Spanish capital club.

Fernando Morientes, who played striker for Real Madrid, thinks Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Manchester United player, may one day become a manager or president at Santiago Bernabeu.

Ronaldo became a superstar at the Bernabeu after joining Madrid from United in June 2009 and amassing an incredible 451 goals in 438 games. In addition, he took home 15 major awards, including four Champions League championships.

After nine years at Madrid, he joined Juventus in 2018 before coming back to Old Trafford in 2021. A little more than a year later, he moved to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Nassr, leaving United for the second time.

Although the Portuguese international has not yet indicated that he intends to hang up his boots, speculation about his post-retirement plans are common.

Additionally, Morientes believes that Ronaldo, who scored 26 goals in his second stint at Old Trafford, has the ability to lead Madrid as manager or president.

Speaking to bet365, Morientes stated.

“I can see Cristiano Ronaldo as Real Madrid manager or president because he has a big ego, a huge personality and is eager to take on big challenges.”

“I can’t imagine Cristiano Ronaldo retiring and going to live on a farm 3,000 kilometres from the city. I can’t imagine that at all. He’s not that kind of player or person. I imagine him taking on challenges. Managing Real Madrid would be one of them.

It doesn’t appear that Ronaldo is in any mood to retire as he is still playing at his best and delivering goals week in and week out for the Saudi club Al-Nassr. The former United player also has one of the biggest career objectives, which is to achieve 1,000 goals in his playing career.

He could also feature for Portugal in next year’s FIFA World Cup. The player is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with Al-Nassr that will keep him at the club until 2027.
