Bernardeschi reveals who has revolutionised football.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s prime era was defined by both stars constantly competing with each other to win trophies and individual awards. Their football ability was and still is incomparable, as we may not be able to witness such consistency from any two other players for a decade.
They changed the trajectory of football, scoring over 30 goals and regularly fighting for the European Golden Shoe. Meanwhile, in current times, when a player reaches that many goals, it’s seen as an incredible campaign for him.
But for them, it was a normal season in their life. They made it look effortless in every season and demonstrated that we may never see such a rivalry again in football. However, despite their ripe age, both continue to be compared in debates.
Bologna Star reveals the difference between Messi & Ronaldo
Now, once again, another football star made comments about who is the greatest of all time (GOAT). Former Juventus player, Federico Bernardeschi, has explained the difference between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo:
Speaking to Tuttosport, Bernardeschi said: “They’re two different worlds. Like Cristiano, Messi is something you struggle to understand as a player.
“But they’re opposites: Messi catches your eye, he does things that seem unreal, he has an aura that doesn’t belong in this world. Cristiano has another characteristic: he revolutionized football and sport in general. Messi, like [Diego] Maradona, seems divine. If athletes today pay attention to every detail of their preparation, it’s thanks to Cristiano.”

Football players turned pundits and current stars continue to have different opinions on how Ronaldo and Messi have transformed football during their heyday. Both will continue to awe fans with their football ability, even though they don’t play in Europe anymore.
They really don’t have many years left to play as they are enjoying the twilight of their careers. When the time is right, they will one day call it a day. That will be the moment when football fans actually look back on their time and reflect on how they changed the history of sport.
