Fluminense FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad: Thiago Silva & Ganso included

The Brazilian club had lost the previous Club World Cup final.
Fluminense have confirmed their squad for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as they prepare to play in the competition. The Brazilian side are in group F, which consists of Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Manager Renato Gaúcho will be counting on his selected players to put on a show and lead the club deep into the competition this summer.
In 2023, Fluminense played in the final of the previous iteration of the Club World Cup, losing to Manchester City 4-0.
They had just won the Copa Libertadores for the first time in their history when they made that appearance. As evidence of their decline since their last appearance on the international scene, Fluminense were unable to defend that title and were not eligible for the 2025 edition.
Thiago Silva is one member of their team that European football fans will recognise. Leading his teammates into the competition is undoubtedly a task for the seasoned player.
The Brazilian club will be hoping to top the group or even finish second, which will see them reach the knockout stage of the tournament.
The players will be betting on themselves to put in a convincing performance to see the club go beyond in the tournament. They are in a decent group and their only tough opponent are set to be the German club Dortmund.
Fluminense will open their Club World Cup against Dortmund on 17 June, they will then play Ulsan on 21st June and will wrap up their group stage matches against Mamelodi Sundowns on 25th June.
