Many clubs are interested in signing the Scottish International

Fulham have continued their interest in Manchester United’s Scott McTominay and have now submitted an improved bid of £23 million. The Cottagers’ earlier proposal was rejected by United as it did not meet the satisfactory price tag.

But Fulham’s latest offer is set to be rejected by the Old Trafford outfit, as they want £30 million for the 27-year-old. It will also help the club financially and aid in more signings during the summer window.

United have been willing to sell the Scotland international since last season, and once again, the midfielder could be sold if the interested club meets the club’s asking price. Galatasaray are another club that tabled an offer that was deemed too low and was turned down by the Red Devils.

Last season the club rejected £30m from West Ham United as they wanted £40m for the player, but this summer it’s unlikely they will be able to fetch that much sum. McTominay continued at the club the previous summer after an ankle injury to Kobbie Mainoo, but this summer it looks uncertain.

McTominay has been an integral part of Erik ten Hag’s squad and scored 10 goals last season. Club sources reportedly said that he has been an important player with an impressive contribution to the team.

But it seems doubtful he will remain at the club, and once they manage to sell him, it might speed up the process of signing Manul Ugarte and Adrien Rabiot.

These signings will certainly be an upgrade for United going into next season, as the club’s main issue has been the lack of options in the middle of the pitch in previous campaigns.

However, Fulham could once again return with a new offer and hopefully, it will tempt United to sell the midfielder.

McTominay is certainly an underrated player, but his key issue has been that he is not consistent with his performance, and under the Dutch manager, but he has become more of a goalscorer due to his impressive box presence and clinical finishing.
