Galatasaray's €15m bid for Scott McTominay rejected; Man United want €30m
United have put Scotland international for sale this summer.
Galatasaray have made their interest known in Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay with a €15 million offer for the player. But United are going to turn down the bid as they want €30 million for the Scotland international.
United have put McTominay on the market. They will sell the player if they receive a suitable offer for the midfielder. So far no club have submitted a satisfactory approach for the player. Fulham and Tottenham are also keen on signing the player, but both are yet to make an offer.
However, the Turkish side have emerged as the second club to make a big move. But it has been rebuffed by United and deemed too low.
The Scottish player has been linked with an exit since last summer and even came close to leaving the club. McTominay turned down the move and ended up remaining at United. Now once again, the speculations have been making the rounds.
United’s asking price could be the reason for clubs to cool their interest. It is understood that Fulham are expected to make a tempting bid for the player. But they are currently occupied with wrapping up the Emile Smith Rowe deal from Arsenal.
After United rejected the Cottagers’ initial £17 million approach for McTominay, it is now widely believed that they will make a better offer which may entice United to agree to their bid.
McTominay has always been a starter under Erik ten Hag and was one of their key goalscorers last season. The 27-year-old has produced many important goals in previous campaigns, which have helped United earn crucial points in dying minutes.
However, United feel they can get a good profit from his exit. It will open the gate for more signings as the Red Devils want to add the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Adrien Rabiot to the squad this summer.
Under the new board, the club will hope to move quickly in the transfer window, reinforce the squad for the upcoming season and contend for the title.
