Manchester United legend Gary Neville to visit India

Manchester United legend and now football pundit Gary Neville is one of the biggest names in Premier League history. The right-back retired as a player in 2011, but still remains very much involved in the game due to his work as a football pundit.
Although his managerial stint with LaLiga side Valencia might not have gone according to plan, his playing career was full of trophies. He was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s main men at Manchester United, spending his entire career at the club, making a total of 602 appearances and scoring seven goals from his defensive role.
Gary Neville won an incredible 12 Premier League titles, two UEFA Champions League crowns, four FA Cups, three League Cups, six English Super Cups and various other trophies in his career. He also earned 85 caps for England.
Gary Neville remains relevant in India to this day, mainly due to the popularity of his former side Manchester United. Despite recent setbacks and unsuccessful seasons, the Red Devils remain one of the most followed clubs around the world.
As per the chatter going on among the Manchester United fan group in India, it was rumoured that Gary Neville was set to visit India. Khel Now can now confirm with accordance to our sources that Neville is set to visit India on 18 October for an event in Chandigarh.
The actual reason for the trip is still unknown. It could be thanks to Apollo Tyres’ long-standing partnership with Manchester United or for some other event.

It is also interesting to note that this will not be Gary Neville’s first visit to India. The England legend visited Mumbai in 2012, for an event to promote his book, ‘Red My Autobiography.’ The book was a depiction of his club and national team playing career.
In 2016, reports surfaced that the Manchester United legend could join as the head coach of Indian Super League (ISL) side Delhi Dynamos. But, the move did not materialize.
