Germany vs Denmark: All-time head-to-head record | Euro 2024

The Red and Whites failed to win any of their group games.
Germany had already confirmed their spot in the knockout rounds with just two games played, shattering the memories of their last two World Cup campaigns, which both ended prematurely in the group. They had done this by scoring seven goals combined against Scotland and Hungary.
Die Mannschaft only needed to avoid losing to Switzerland on the last matchday to advance as Group A winners. Dan Ndoye’s first goal put Julian Nagelsmann’s team in danger of suddenly dropping to the runners-up position.
But, a thrilling late goal in Group A changed the course of the final standings. Niclas Fullkrug popped up with an injury-time equalizer to all but guarantee Germany’s place as leaders of the group and save them from a match-up with defending champions Italy in the Round of 16.
Group C proved to be the lowest-scoring Euros group in history. It consisted of England, Slovenia, Serbia and Denmark, who collectively scored just seven goals in six games.
Prospective adversaries Germany interestingly participated in the only other seven-goal section in 2016. They had drawn all three of their group matches back then. Kasper Hjulmand’s Denmark were able to secure a second-place finish because of three draws.
Just two of the seven goals in Group C at Euro 2024 came from the Danes. Morten Hjulmand’s goal against England though will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the tournament’s best.
