Ghana annonunce squad for October international break; Mohammed Kudus included

The Black Stars will face Sudan in AFCON qualifiers this month.
Twenty-five players have been called up by coach Otto Addo for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan. Gideon Mensah and Alexander Djiku, two defenders who were absent from the qualifiers against Angola and Niger last month, have returned to the team.
FC Samartex left-back Isaac Afful following an outstanding showing in the current Ghana Premier League season and the CAF Champions League preliminary round has seen him receive a first call-up.
Ernest Nuamah, a forward for Olympique Lyon, and Ibrahim Sulemana, a forward for Atalanta, have also returned to the team following injury setbacks that prevented them from playing in the qualifiers last month.
The roster include well-known players including Jordan Ayew and Arsenal’s Thomas Partey. They are accompanied by players who have been playing well for their team in Europe, such as West Ham‘s Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, and Athletic Club’s Inaki Williams.
Others are Joseph Wallacott, Alezander Djiku, Lawrence Ati Zigi, and Tariq Lamptey. Fredrick Asare of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is one of the up-and-coming players from Ghana’s local leagues whom Otto Addo has listed.
Ghana have a quality squad and will be looking to win both of their games against Sudan at home and away in the AFCON qualifiers.
