Ronaldo’s side were eliminated from the AFC Champions League Elite after a 3–2 loss to Kawasaki Frontale.
Following a 3–2 loss to Kawasaki Frontale in the semifinals, Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr were ousted from the AFC Champions League Elite. The Portuguese player, who was hoping to win a big prize in Saudi Arabia this season, has suffered yet another setback with the loss.
Ronaldo had a clear opportunity to tie the score in extra time of the match against Kawasaki, but he was unable to score. Tatsuya Ito, Yuto Ozeki, and Akihiro Ienaga scored for the Japanese team, while Sadio Mane and Ayman Yayha scored for Al Nassr.
Has Cristiano Ronaldo won a trophy with Al-Nassr?
The only trophy Cristiano Ronaldo has won with Al Nassr thus far is the Arab Club Champions Cup, an unofficial competition that FIFA does not recognise. It was revived in 2023 after a lengthy break and was not held in 2024.
During his tenure with the team, Cristiano Ronaldo has lost three Saudi Super Cup games, missed out on two Saudi Pro League titles, and failed in the AFC Champions League. Additionally, Al Nassr have lost consecutive King’s Cup tournaments.
Cristiano Ronaldo has 34 recognised titles in his career, which he gained with Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and the Portugal national team. However, as a fact, he hasn’t won any with Al Nassr.
Al Nassr are presently eight points below league leader Al Ittihad, who have 68 points, in third place in the Saudi Pro League this season. Their chances of winning the title are minimal with just four games left.
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to continue playing for Al-Nassr even though he hasn’t won any major championships. According to Marca, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has agreed to stay at Al Nassr for a maximum of two more seasons, with the second year being dependent on his personal preferences and performance.
He would be able to maintain his fitness for Portugal at the World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico thanks to the agreement, which would keep him in Riyadh until at least 2026.
