The Brazilian has been picking up injuries frequently.

Liverpool have been hit with a major injury blow. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has sustained a hamstring injury. He will be out for around six weeks after the new tests were carried out on the custodian.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is unlikely to return until the next international break in mid-November. During Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, the goalkeeper was forced off in the final few minutes at Selhurst Park.

Alisson will miss Liverpool’s next seven matches and possibly more. Alisson’s injury problems have become a big concern for the club after he missed two matches in September and 10 Premier League games in the second half of last season.

Alisson’s absence will be a big headache for Arne Slot as after the October international break the Reds are set to face a series of tough matches. The former AS Roma goalkeeper will miss Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Brighton (twice), Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa matches.

If he isn’t recovered in time then he will also be on the sidelines for the two massive games for Liverpool against Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Liverpool will now be thanking themselves after not selling Caoimhin Kelleher, who received an offer from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window. The Irishman Kelleher had revealed that he doesn’t want to play as second fiddle at Anfield.

But now he will once again have a chance to impress after making an excellent impact last season when Alisson was out with an injury. Kelleher has done it before and will be prepared to do it again in the Brazilian’s absence.

Meanwhile, Liverpool go into the October international break at the top of the Premier League table with 18 points, which has been an ideal start for the club under new head coach Arne Slot.

Once the international break is over Slot will hope his side continues their fine form under him. They have only lost once and won six league matches, having played seven.
