How many games will Real Madrid star Eder Militao miss after fresh injury blow?

Real Madrid suffer another injury setback as Militao is excluded from Brazil’s squad.
Real Madrid injury concerns continue to increase. They have suffered another blow. Defender Eder Militao was pulled out from Brazil’s national team due to a muscle injury.
Now it is further confirmed that he will miss Madrid’s game against Real Sociedad after the international break. The centre-back was one of four Real Madrid players called up by Brazil for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier games against Ecuador and Paraguay.
However, an early setback has forced him to withdraw from the squad and return to Spain. In Spain, he underwent an MRI scan which confirmed the Brazilian centre-back had picked up a minor muscle injury in the thigh area. It shouldn’t keep the player sidelined for a long time.
“Militao felt muscle discomfort in his right thigh after Wednesday’s training session at Atletico Paranaense’s Training Center,” read a statement from the Selecao.
”This Thursday, the CBF medical department performed a clinical examination and an MRI, detecting a small muscle injury in his right thigh. ”
”The footballer has been ruled out of the two qualifying matches. The CBF expresses its solidarity with the footballer and wishes him a speedy recovery.”
After a dismal start to the new campaign, the team is currently seeing injuries to several key players. It will undoubtedly disrupt hopes of defending the LaLiga championship given that Barcelona are currently leading the standings with four wins in four games.
Real Madrid’s injury problems are turning out to be worse as Militao is now added to a long list of injuries. The list includes David Alaba, Jesus Vallejo, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos.
This is now a major issue. Carlo Ancelotti has now only 14 fit players for upcoming LaLiga games as they look to recover from their poor start to the new season.
But the positive news is that the injury isn’t severe. For Real Madrid, Militao will only miss a league game and should be back for their UEFA Champions League opener against VfB Stuttgart.
