How many goals Kylian Mbappe needs to break Ivan Zamorano's record at Real Madrid?

The Frenchman now has scored 31 goals in all competitions.
The beginning of Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid career wasn’t as positive as many had anticipated. The amount of backlash the former Paris Saint-Germain faced from fans and pundits alike made it appear that he will need more seasons to settle at the club.
Even whether this would be another Eden Hazard scenario was questioned. But the Frenchman ultimately settled in. Now he is the top scorer for the club this season.
In a 2-1 victory over Villarreal on Saturday, Mbappe contributed to his stellar debut season by recording a brace. Furthermore, in his first season with the Spanish team, the former Paris Saint-Germain star is starting to create history.
Ivan Zamorano currently holds the record for most goals scored in a Real Madrid debut season with 37. Mbappe will need seven more to surpass him, which isn’t impossible, given the pace Mbappe is scoring goals. He might achieve it in six-seven matches.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion has a lot of games left to continue moving up this outstanding record of goals scored in his debut season with Los Blancos. Mbappe joined Real Madrid in order to win trophies, even though his individual stats have been significant in recent years.
Since no significant international competitions this summer will affect the voting, the 26-year-old is hoping to win his first UEFA Champions League trophy, which might pave the way for him to claim the Ballon d’Or this year.
However, moving to the Spanish capital has not been easy for the Frenchman, given the criticism he faced during the first few months of the campaign. He had failed to find the back of the net and missed many crucial penalties.
But now he has become a household name at the club and is climbing the ladder way quicker than we thought. It’s just a matter of time before Mbappe is seen as the most indispensable part of the club.
