Ballon d’Or is regarded as the most illustrious award in football
Brazil’s Vinicius Jr is the clear favourite to win the men’s Ballon d’Or 2024 award. The ceremony will take place at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on Monday, October 28. Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí and Alexia Putellas are among the favourite female players to win the prize.
The final selection by France Football magazine did not yield a clear favourite because Vini, who finished with 26 goals and 12 assists in the Champions League and LaLiga with Real Madrid last season, faces competition from teammate Jude Bellingham.
Another player who could win the trophy is Spanish midfielder Rodri, who played a crucial role in Spain’s European Championship victory and Manchester City’s Premier League victory.
Two of the best players of all time Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have failed to make it to the list after a very long time in their careers. This time the award looks slightly unpredictable compared to previous years when the winner is already leaked in the media.
But how much money does a player get when he wins the Ballon d’Or? Let’s take a look below in this article.
