The Brazilian only played two matches in 2024 due to injury.

Neymar’s move to Saudi Arabia is already regarded as one of the worst in the nation’s history.

According to the sources, Neymar received €101 million from Al-Hilal in 2024 as part of his deal. However, the renowned Brazilian only played 42 minutes in 2024 across all competitions because of injury.

After missing a whole year due to an ACL injury, Neymar experienced another setback that kept him out of action for several months. Now that he is well, he is training again.

Neymar earned this income while just playing in two games with Al-Hilal in 2024, totalling 42 minutes on the field. That works out to about €2.4 million per minute. During these two games, Neymar registered 45 touches, which amounts to an incredible €1,122,222 for every ball touched.

After almost six years with Paris Saint-Germain—a period that many PSG fans found to be extremely disappointing—Neymar left the team in the summer of 2023. The Saudi league, which is drawing international players to bolster its reputation (Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Mahrez, Mané, Seko Fofana, etc.), was his next destination.

Exorbitant salaries have been suggested as a means of luring these players. For example, Lionel Messi’s annual salary of €124 million is less than half that of Cristiano Ronaldo’s €263 million.

Players who have joined the clubs of the Saudi league are pocketing massive incomes and Neymar has benefited a lot from this move when it comes to wages. However, it’s unlikely that he will continue at the club once his contract expires there.

Prior to relocating to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2017, Neymar formed a deadly partnership with Messi and Suarez at Barcelona.

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old forward, whose agreement with Saudi side Al-Hilal expires in June, told CNN that it would be “incredible” if the Barca trio reunited, although Mascherano stated that no deal was being discussed.
