After almost six years with Paris Saint-Germain—a period that many PSG fans found to be extremely disappointing—Neymar left the team in the summer of 2023. Exorbitant salaries have been suggested as a means of luring these players. For example, Lionel Messi’s annual salary of €124 million is less than half that of Cristiano Ronaldo’s €263 million.

Players who have joined the clubs of the Saudi league are pocketing massive incomes and Neymar has benefited a lot from this move when it comes to wages. However, it’s unlikely that he will continue at the club once his contract expires there.

Prior to relocating to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2017, Neymar formed a deadly partnership with Messi and Suarez at Barcelona.

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old forward, whose agreement with Saudi side Al-Hilal expires in June, told CNN that it would be “incredible” if the Barca trio reunited, although Mascherano stated that no deal was being discussed.
