Hull City vs Sheffield Wednesday Predicted lineup, betting tips, odds, injury news, H2H, telecast | Carabao Cup 2024-25
The Tigers are yet to register a win under their new boss.
Hull City have not had the best of starts to the new season after opening their account with a 1-1 draw against Bristol City. Hull City have appointed Tim Walter to guide the team back to the Premier League after finishing seventh in the Championship last campaign.
Under their new manager, the team is yet to perform to its full potential after failing to register any wins during the pre-season. The Tigers played six matches in which they secured two draws and lost four matches. However, cup ties bring a different approach from teams, hopefully they can make it here.
Sheffield Wednesday survived a scare last season as they were very close to relegation places. However, the appointment of Danny Rohl mid-season proved to be a good decision as he guided the team to safety by finishing the season strongly.
With the team finishing their first pre-season under the belt with the new manager, the Owls have made a fantastic start to the new season of Championship with a thumping 4-0 win over Plymouth Argyle. With Hull City struggling at the moment, they have a brilliant chance to win this match.

Players to Watch
Liam Miller (Hull City)
The Tigers have made an excellent signing for their squad in the form of Liam Miller who put on a fantastic display for Canada in the recently concluded Copa America tournament. Miller has already tested himself in the Championship after a successful last season with Preston North End where he made 36 appearances scoring five goals and assisting another five. He will be hoping to make a similar impact for his new side.
Ike Ugbo (Sheffield Wednesday)
Ike Ugbo had a fantastic last season with the team after making the move on a season-long loan from French outfit Troyes. Ugbo netted seven goals for the team last season from 19 appearances which was enough to impress them for making his loan move into permanent this summer. Ugbo is pacey forward who is dangerous on the break and can be handy in the box due to his excellent finishing ability.
