I missed playing for Belgium: Thibaut Courtois

The custodian didn’t play any game under Domenico Tedesco.
Rio Ferdinand, the renowned former defender for Manchester United, interviewed Thibaut Courtois exclusively on Koora Break. A key discussion topic was related to the national team even though the full interview has not yet been made public.
In an attempt to move up to group A, the Ukrainian national team will clash with Belgium in the UEFA Nations League playoff in March. Thibaut Courtois, Belgium’s standout goalkeeper, will play in the games after missing more than a year of action for the national squad.
Courtois is anticipated to play in Belgium’s upcoming encounter against Ukraine in Genk in March, marking his first international appearance since June 2022.
Due to a disagreement with former head coach Domenico Tedesco, Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, had previously declined to join the Belgian team. But now that the matter has been settled, Courtois has stated that he is prepared to go back.
”I missed playing for Belgium… it’s been a year and a half, and now I’m ready,” he stated.
Thierry Courtois, father of the goalkeeper, said that his son’s negotiations with the Belgian Football Federation are going well and that a return is likely coming soon.
Thibaut Courtois’ comeback has been made possible by Rudi Garcia’s appointment as Belgium’s new coach. During his news conference, Garcia stated that he would want to see the goalie return to the team.
The Red Devils are third in the Nations League table following a sub-par performance under Tedesco as the national only picked four points in their six matches. Belgium are in a tough group which consists of France and Italy.
The addition of Thibaut Courtois will be positive news as his goalkeeping abilities will be crucial for them in the matches. The international break is set to return in March and Belgium will play Ukraine in their first game away. Then they will host the same team on 23rd March.
