Ronaldo scored a brace in Al-Nassr’s last game.

The Al-Nassr star, Cristiano Ronaldo did not show up for his team’s Thursday training. This Sunday, in the 17th match of the Saudi Professional League, Al-Nassr will take on Al-Fateh.

On the “X” platform, journalist Ali Al-Enezi verified that Ronaldo did not attend the group training sessions that Al-Nassr had scheduled in advance of their forthcoming encounter. With 32 points, they are presently ranked fourth in the Saudi League standings.

Al-Nassr defeated Al-Khaleej in the league game with Ronaldo scoring a brace in the match as they keep their title hopes alive despite being behind 11 points off first place Al-Ittihad.

Ronaldo’s goalscoring form has remained intact as the Portuguese now has 13 goals in 15 matches in the league this season. However, he did not attend Al-Nassr training ahead of their next match which will be a big cause of issues for the team and fans.

Despite Ronaldo’s possible injury concern, it appears that this may just be a precaution. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner must have had to skip the final training session in order to prevent overexerting himself. He can skip strenuous training and focus on mild body conditioning in the interim. He will be able to take part in the game thanks to this.

Since it was first suggested that he would be injured, many fans’ hearts would have stomped. It appears that the former Real Madrid player is worn out from playing so many games at such an old age.

With their next game on Sunday against Al Fateh fans will hope that the Portuguese has not suffered any injury and will be available for their crucial match.

Stefano Pioli’s side have been poor so far this season, and despite losing only two matches they drew a lot with five stalemates in 16 matches which has affected their title race with Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

Al-Nassr cannot afford to drop points anymore with Al-Ahli who are fifth in the table being only three points adrift of Ronaldo’s side.
