Os Navegadores will face Scotland in the Nations League.

Cristiano Ronaldo was seen in action against Poland. He led his side to a 3-1 win as Portugal remained at the top of their group. The former Real Madrid player scored a tap-in to double their lead against the Polish side in the first half.

At the age of 39, Ronaldo remains almost at the peak of his powers. He continues to find the back of the net with his goalscoring prowess for Selecao.

Portugal will next face Scotland in their UEFA Nations League venture. Ronaldo will be looking to increase his tally to keep the Selecao at the top of the Group A table.

However, he might be rested as Ronaldo has been playing matches without much break. Coach Roberto Martinez can experiment with his squad in the match against the Scots.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play against Scotland?

Ronaldo would be eager to start against Scotland as he is in excellent form for the national team. The former Manchester United forward has now scored three goals in Portugal’s last three matches in the competition. The player would want to score yet another one when Portugal face Scotland.

Will Martinez give a chance to other players? It is unlikely at this stage. Portugal are only three points ahead of second-place Croatia. The former Belgium national team coach wouldn’t want to risk their grip of the top. We can see Ronaldo once again starting for his nation in a bid to outdo Scotland.

Considering that he has been in impressive goalscoring form for Portugal he would want to add more to his tally when they face Scotland, who are enduring a dismal start to the Nations League. The hosts are without a win, sitting last in the table.

Portugal can capitalize on their poor form and get another three points, which will see them remain at the top of the table going into the November international break.

Hence, Martinez is likely to put Ronaldo in the starting lineup, who will hope to find the back of the net yet again.
