The Brazilian made his comeback from injury against Al-Ain in the same competition.

Neymar’s Al-Hilal will resume their AFC Champions League Elite competition tonight when they host Esteghlal in the tournament. Al-Hilal are currently top of the table and a win will see them further reinforce their standing at the summit of the standings.

Al-Hilal will come on this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Al-Nassr and will see this chance to return to winning ways against a struggling Esteghlal side who are sixth in the table and have managed to win only one match in the AFC Champions League Elite.

This will be an excellent chance for Al Hilal to capitalize on their poor performance in the competition and given they boost a quality squad on paper, Al Hilal will be looking to secure a big win.

They will also see the return of key players in this game as this will provide a big boost for the host side in this match.

Will Neymar play tonight?

Neymar will feature tonight after not participating in Al-Hilal’s last two matches as the Saudi outfit did not register him for their league squad but he can take part in other competitions such as the AFC Champions League Elite.

Neymar will be brimming to return to his goalscoring form for Al-Hilal after the forward only made five appearances before suffering a season-ending injury. His presence on the field adds a different spark to the team that his teammates will be looking for him to produce in big matches.

The forward finally returned to action for Al-Hilal in their goal-fest game against Al-Ain, where they scraped to a narrow 5-4 win. Neymar came as a substitute and did manage to show that he is still a big influence on the field and he will hope to start against Esteghlal rather than coming on as a replacement.

The forward is still not fully fit but these matches will help him regain his full fitness as the season heads towards its crucial period where Al-Hilal will need their star players to step in and aim to win all the trophies possible.
