Is Pep Guardiola signing a new contract with Manchester City?

Pep Guardiola is now in his last season of Manchester City contract. The Spanish manager has so far not given any hints of extending his deal with the Premier League club.

This alerted the England FA, who want to make Guardiola their next head coach. They feel he will be the best fit to finally lead the Three Lions to glory.

England have been looking for a manager after Gareth Southgate announced his exit from the national team. Lee Carsley was then appointed as interim coach but now he is expected to return to the U21s job and retake his former position.

Now England want to make Guardiola their next head coach whose contract will expire at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Manchester City want to do everything in their power to tie down the former Barcelona head coach for more years.

However, so far there has been no indication that Guardiola wants to continue at City. This has provided England with enough motivation to approach the former Bayern Munich gaffer to take the national team seat.

But reports reveal that Guardiola is looking to sign a contract extension of a further 12 months despite City wanting him to renew his contract for more than just that.

However, he is also keeping his options open. So far nothing has been decided yet about his future. It looks like he will make the decision on his future after the end of the season.

Expect FA to continue to keep an eye on his situation at City. If any sort of chance is there, they will be looking to pounce on it and make Guardiola, one of the best managers, as their next head coach.

Until then Pep Guardiola will hope to lead Man City to an unprecedented fifth league title in a row and create more history with the English club.
