Isco Alarcon names his five toughest opponents; including Lionel Messi

The Spanish player is currently recovering from an injury.

When asked about his toughest opponents he has faced Isco Alarcon named several top stars in an interview. The current Real Betis forward is recovering from an injury he suffered before the start of the new season.

The forward was expected to return to action in either September or October but the former Real Madrid star suffered a setback in his injury and had to undergo surgery. However, his return timeline has not been confirmed as he continues his recovery.

But Real Betis are much more optimistic about Isco’s current circumstances, and Diario AS revealed that he could make a comeback in early January. Additionally, there is hope regarding another long-term absentee, Portuguese pivot William Carvalho, who has been sidelined since September due to a significant Achilles tendon injury.

When he returns, he will undoubtedly feel like a fresh addition. Betis’ goal will be to get Isco back as quickly as possible, particularly if he can become fit in January.

Recently the 32-year-old was seen in an interview where he was asked about the toughest players he has faced. Isco answered:

”Messi, it comes to me without thinking much. Griezmann also, Neymar, Rudiger, he pinches a lot. Luis Suarez, he was one of them.”

Isco has faced Lionel Messi, Neymar Suarez and Griezmann plenty of times during his time at Real Betis and Real Madrid. The player did impress at Los Blancos although later had to switch clubs to make a name for himself. At Betis he has been sensational.

However, the injury setback has derailed all his hard work. He will hope to be back soon for the club.

Real Betis will need to exercise patience due to the injury to their great player, who was crucial last season, as the reports also state that he will be back in action the following year. Betis, who are now tenth in the LaLiga standings, will play Barcelona tomorrow as they hope to climb up the table.
