Ivan Toney's agent in talks with Saudi club Al-Ahli over three year contract

The striker was excluded from the Bees squad for the Crystal Palace game.
Brentford striker Ivan Toney’s representatives are in talks with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli for a potential move to the Saudi club. The player was left out of the Bees squad in their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace. The game was their Premier League 2024-25 season opener.
The forward has been courted by many Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea, but neither of them have made any offer for the player.
Toney’s exclusion from the squad came as a surprise. It could be related to the forward’s lack of fitness given he has not played after the final of Euro 2024.
Reportedly the Bees are said to be selling him this summer. The forward has one year left on his contract. The club don’t want to see him leave for free next season.
Toney is also eager to leave the club. It remains to be seen where he will next play. No Premier League club have made any approach, besides Saudi Pro League‘s Al-Ahli.
It is also understood that the Saudi club had their initial €40 million bid turned down by Brentford in recent days. The English first-tier club want them (Al-Ahli) to reach their asking price.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ivan Toney. He is still one of the underrated players in the league. Many top clubs can opt for his signature given he boasts all the necessary qualities to be an ideal striker.
However, with no English club showing any intention of making a move, he might end up staying at Brentford unless the Bees agree to sell the player to the Middle East club.
With only a week left for the transfer window to close, it will be interesting to see what happens in Toney’s transfer speculations.
