Bayern star Jamal Musiala returns to grass training following ankle injury

Jamal Musiala made big strides towards his recovery. The forward returned to grass training since fracturing his fibula during the match against Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the summer.
The 22-year-old’s return to grass training was also a major lift for Bayern Munich, who are set to continue assessing his recovery before declaring him fully fit to play again. Since his injury, Jamal Musiala has been out of action for months and has been doing his indoor rehabilitation.
He has been working intensely to speed up his recovery from the injury; additionally, the medical staff has been urged to ensure that the German midfielder is following every routine of his recovery process to avoid any relapse.

Moreover, his return to the training pitch is a sign of how his recovery has been handled. It’s just a matter of time before he will soon start playing matches. His target is to return before the end of the year.
December is seen as the tentative month for his comeback to official competition. If he makes a comeback, then it will be a timely uplift for the team as they will have one of the best attacking talents in the squad once again for the vital stretch of the season.
Jamal Musiala’s recovery has been admirable, given the amount of patience you need to come back from a fibula fracture. From physiotherapy and strengthening exercises in the gym to touching the ball on the pitch, it takes a lot of mental support to reach that level of fitness again.
Now, the next step for Jamal Musiala would be to return to group training before getting a medical green light. Neither Bayern nor the medical staff want to rush the player’s recovery. They will continue monitoring his recovery, but one thing is certain that he should be fit to play by the end of the year.
