Jordan name preliminary squad for FIFA World Cup 2026

Jordan are making its inaugural appearance at the World Cup.
The preliminary roster for the players scheduled to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals—Jordan’s first-ever appearance has been formally revealed by Jordan national football team head coach Jamal Sellami.
They are placed in Group J with Austria, Argentina, and Algeria. On Thursday night, May 28, the team will travel to the capital of Switzerland. On May 31, at Kybunpark in St. Gallen, Jordan will play a friendly match against the Swiss national football team.
After that, the team will proceed to San Diego for a training camp in the United States. On Sunday, June 7, at Snapdragon Stadium, they will play a friendly match against the Colombian national football team.
After that, Jordan will spend the remainder of the competition at its official World Cup base camp in Portland, where they will prepare for the competition and begin their World Cup campaign against Austria on 17th June.
With the first-ever appearance in the competition, head coach Jamal Sellami has announced the provisional squad, which will subsequently be reduced to a 26-man squad.
