Don't count on me for soap operas: Jose Mourinho comments on Real Madrid links

Los Blancos are set to look for a new manager in the summer.
Jose Mourinho has addressed rumours that he would unexpectedly return to Real Madrid as manager. After a difficult week, Alvaro Arbeloa took over as manager of Los Blancos, replacing Xabi Alonso.
Arbeloa’s first match as manager resulted in an unexpected Copa del Rey elimination. Later during Saturday’s LaLiga victory over Levante, he witnessed his team being jeered by supporters.
Due to the circumstances, there has been conjecture that Real Madrid may switch managers once more in the summer. Jose Mourinho’s name has also been discussed, while former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has also been considered as a possible contender.
Don’t count on me for soap operas – Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is not interested in returning to the Spanish capital, where he has won LaLiga and the Copa del Rey.
Mourinho stated to Sport TV: “Don’t count on me for soap operas. There are good soap operas, but they’re very long; you miss one or two episodes and then you lose track. Don’t count on me, because I don’t watch soap operas.”
After losing to FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday, Real Madrid decided to break ways with Alonso. After less than eight months in leadership, the former midfielder was fired. Arbeloa quickly took his position.
However, the mayhem persisted as Arbeloa’s first match as manager resulted in a humiliating Copa del Rey elimination at the hands of lowly Albacete. Then, in a LaLiga match, Arbeloa led his club to a 2-0 victory over Levante.
As Real Madrid struggle to escape finishing the season empty-handed for the second consecutive year, Arbeloa will be under pressure to improve performances and outcomes in the second half of the season. AS Monaco’s Champions League visit comes next, followed by a trip to LaLiga‘s third-place team, Villarreal.
