Bellingham can inspire England to their first trophy since 1996.

This time, it will be tricky to pick who will win one of the most coveted individual football prizes in October. It was more of a race between two Real Madrid teammates Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. But the latter seems lagging behind with Brazil getting knocked out of the Copa America 2024. This is a massive boost for the 21-year-old as he appears to have a better chance of winning the prize if he leads England to the Euro 2024 trophy.

Brazil lost to Uruguay on penalties while the Three Lions prevailed 5-3 on shootouts against Switzerland. Gareth Southgate’s side will now face the Netherlands in the semi-final of the competition as they remain one step closer to reaching the final. A win would allow them to face either France or Spain.

Meanwhile, Bellingham has been once again in the spotlight after his two winning goals in the tournament which helped England significantly in the matches. However, his overall performance has been far from convincing but his goals have helped his nation to continue in the competition.

Jude Bellingham’s winning goal against Serbia helped the Three Lions clinch three points and another injury-time goal forced extra-time against Slovenia, which England won 2-1.

on the contrary, Vinicius Junior endured a frustrating Copa America despite scoring two goals and was suspended for Brazil’s game against Uruguay after picking two yellow cards.

The Brazilian had an impressive club season leading Real Madrid to the UEFA Champions League trophy, but his chances of winning the prize might have been derailed after the Selecao exited from the American competition.

However, it’s going to be an intense battle between these two Madrid stars who have stamped their authority in the international competition but Bellingham could become a clear favourite if he leads the Three Lions to the Euro trophy for the first since 1966.
