Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez has informed his agent that he wants a move to Arsenal, according to reports. Julian Alvarez’s future at the Spanish club has remained one of the talking points in the media. The striker isn’t happy at the club.
However, many other clubs are also keeping tabs on the Argentine’s future as he might look for an exit gate following the end of the season.
Considering Arsenal’s long-term striker woes, Julian Alvarez will be an excellent option. The player also boasts Premier League experience, having played for Manchester City.

Many elite clubs have taken notice of Alvarez’s reported growing dissatisfaction with life at the Metropolitano. Although FC Barcelona is still his top choice and has long been admired, there is no assurance that they can put together a deal that would please Atletico due to their current financial problems.
Intermediaries have also contacted Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. Alvarez is thought to have a limited list of teams he would take into consideration if he pursues a transfer.

Arsenal send scouts to watch Alvarez
After deploying scouts to “watch him within the last two weeks, affirming their ongoing interest,” the Arsenal executives “have discussed internally” a move for the 26-year-old, “with the club exploring what it would take to bring him to North London.”
According to the reports, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus have both been “mentioned as potential makeweights in a deal for Alvarez,” and both forwards have recently been strongly associated with a departure from Emirates Stadium.
According to the source, “the club would be open to their departures in 2026, and the possibility of including one in a package for Alvarez has been discussed.”
