Juventus make enquiry about Chelsea's Raheem Sterling

Sterling was omitted from Chelsea squad in their game against Manchester City.
Juventus have made an inquiry for Raheem Sterling amidst his uncertain future. The Chelsea attacker was reportedly seeking clarification over what lies ahead. The player was left out of Enzo Maresca’s first Premier League match-day squad for Sunday’s encounter against Manchester City.
After it was decided not to put the 29-year-old winger in the team to play Manchester City, Sterling was granted the weekend off.
Meanwhile, the Blues opened their new season with a 2-0 defeat against City under the new manager. They will next play in the UEFA Conference League play-off.
Before the uproar on Sunday, Juventus, an Italian team, had expressed interest in the 29-year-old attacker.
Before making a serious approach for Sterling, the Turin team understand that they need to reduce their wage bill. forward Federico Chiesa is one player who may be let go, fulfilling this purpose.
It’s unclear if Sterling would be willing to leave his young family behind—who are reportedly content in London—in order to go to Italy.
However, it’s becoming more and more obvious that Chelsea want to get rid of the player they paid £47.5 million to acquire from Manchester City in 2022.
In order to save money on Sterling’s rumoured £325,000 weekly salary, Chelsea are completely willing to let him go before the transfer deadline.
In fact, Sterling‘s prospects of playing were going to be restricted, according to head coach Enzo Maresca. Maresca told him to start looking for clubs during training last week.
There will be more competition in the attacking areas now that Chelsea are almost done swooping Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.
Although Saudi Pro League teams have expressed interest in Sterling, the player has no intention to join any side in Saudi Arabia as of now.
