The Belgium midfielder has only one year left on his contract.
Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has agreed personal terms to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, according to reports.
There is just one year left on De Bruyne City’s contract. He has already been connected to several high-profile transfers, including one to Saudi Arabia.
It seems like after his time with Man City ends, De Bruyne will be heading back to the Middle East. According to sources from Italy, the 33-year-old and Al-Ittihad have reportedly agreed on personal terms.
The Saudi champions and Man City are still negotiating on a fee. If all goes according to plan, De Bruyne will depart the Premier League one year prior to his contract expiring.
During his tenure at Manchester City, De Bruyne has shown himself to be among the greatest acquisitions in Premier League history. He won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups, and five League Cups after leaving Wolfsburg.
If De Bruyne moves to Al-Ittihad, he will be a part of a team full of bright future stars. They boast plenty of European stars such as N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, Houssem Aouar, and Karim Benzema.
Although Kante has been touted for a return to the Premier League to West Ham, the Hammers have not yet been able to come to an agreement with the Saudi team.
However, it is understood that the Saudi side has denied the reports and revealed there has not been any personal agreement between the player and the club.
The Belgium player’s future remains uncertain at City as he heads into the last year of his deal. It will be interesting to see if the former Wolfsburg player will continue in the Premier League or join the Saudi side.
