Kingsley Coman open to rejoining PSG; Barcelona also keen to sign French winger

The Catalan side are weighing up a move for the Frenchman.

Kingsley Coman’s future doesn’t seem to lie at Bayern Munich. The German club are open to listening offers for the winger. Barcelona have expressed interest in signing the French player after their acquisition of Nico Williams never transpired.

Despite interest from other clubs, the former Juventus forward wants to return to Paris Saint-Germain. The 28-year-old was unearthed from PSG academy before he went to join Serie A club Juventus. Now the attacker will have a chance to return to his boyhood club after Kylian Mbappe left the team.

This could be a big problem for Barcelona as they have shortlisted Koman among other alternatives to sign following their failure to acquire Williams in the transfer window. Earlier Barca’s interest was stationary but now they could weigh move for Koman this summer window.

Koman’s intention to return to PSG could be a blessing in disguise for Barca. Given he never had a sort of big impact at Bayern as his tenure there was mired in injuries and sub-par performances.

However, Bayern are also allowing loaning the player with an option to buy. So it remains to be seen if the Spanish giants will opt for a loan or permanent move. Meanwhile, Koman’s move to PSG could be doubtful as the French club are closing in on the signing of Dérisé Doué from Rennes.

Mbappe’s exit left a big void on PSG’s left flank as the club will struggle to find a player of his calibre. But Koman could be an ideal fit for the short term given he has played for them and knows the club since his childhood.

Meanwhile, for Barcelona, it remains dubious as the move will only occur if they make a personal agreement with the player, who wants to return to PSG.

On the other hand, Koman’s move to PSG will only maternalise if the French club’s signing of Derise Doue collapses which will pave the way for the 28-year-old to rejoin the Ligue 1 side.

For now, it’s all uncertain where Koman will be playing next. If no clubs attempt to sign him then he might continue at Bayern for another season.
