Mbappe has been under massive scrutiny since joining Los Blancos.

News in France has revealed that Kylian Mbappe’s performance for Real Madrid has significantly affected the forward mentally. Ever since moving to Madrid, the player has laboured to demonstrate his exploits as he has netted only eight goals in 16 matches in all competitions.

His struggles in Spain have seen the forward not receive a call-up for France’s November international break squad, and things have also turned sour between Mbappe and Didier Deschamps.

In a report published by journalist Antoine Simonneau, it was highlighted that Mbappe has not been the same for his new club after being forced to take the striker role as Vinicius Junior has occupied the left-wing spot.

Kylian Mbappe has failed to assimilate as a striker at Bernabeu. Now his performance has seen him experiencing emotional distress and a psychological problem that is, in turn, affecting his performance.

His another mental problem could be when he was accused of rape during his trip to Stockholm. It may have impacted his mood and performance for Real Madrid.

Now recently his omission from the national team has further compounded things, and other personal issues coupled with his performance on the pitch have contributed to Kylian Mbappe’s current situation.

“Because in the end he doesn’t have the attitude of a captain and that bothers a lot [of people] in France. I think there’s a kind of psychological problem in Kylian, because you notice that he’s not the same on the field, he’s not obedient either, we don’t see him enjoying himself. All this, [while] he also sees that in his country he isn’t loved as he wanted to be loved, causes general unrest and has repercussions on the football field I believe,” wrote Simonneau.

Mbappe will now have two weeks of rest as the international break is set to commence. The forward can train to get better, and also use this time for solace to find his best self before the club football resumes.
