Kylian Mbappe files another lawsuit against PSG: Report

The Frenchman was banned from training with the club in 2023.
In a startling turn of events, Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappe has formally sued his previous team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), for moral harassment, according to RFI.
Following Mbappe’s accusation, a judicial investigation was launched on Tuesday, June 24, according to confirmation from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The continuing conflict between the player and the French club has a new chapter thanks to this judicial move. Two investigating judges have been appointed in response to the allegation, which was filed in Paris.
Kylian Mbappe was blackmailed into renewing his deal in 2023 by the club
Reports state that Mbappe’s issues stemmed from PSG isolating him from the rest of the team during the transfer saga in 2023. It was an attempt to coerce him to either leave or sign a longer deal.
In addition to the harassment issue, Mbappe and the Ligue 1 side are embroiled in a significant financial disagreement. The 26-year-old thinks the club still owes him outstanding incentives and wages totalling €55 million.
He obtained a preventative court order back in April to confiscate this sum while he awaited a final ruling.
But this was not something PSG took lightly. The club responded by filing a counterclaim, claiming that Mbappe might be the one who owes them money, in addition to arguing that his seizure request should be revoked.
As the conflict between the player and the club intensifies, it has moved from the field to the courtroom, where the parties are engaged in a protracted legal battle.
The conclusion of this court lawsuit might have significant ramifications for Mbappe and PSG, as well as for how elite teams manage internal conflicts with their star players. Meanwhile, he is recuperating from illness and is getting ready for the upcoming season with Real Madrid.
There could be sporting repercussions in addition to financial gain. According to one of PSG’s attorneys, the French team may lose their right to participate in European competitions if this matter makes it all the way to UEFA.
In an already delicate position with the player, this warning puts more pressure on the club. As of yet, the team has not spoken publicly on the situation.
