Los Blancos suffered a 2-1 defeat against Valencia.

Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, two of Real Madrid‘s best players, said they weren’t good enough during their shocking home loss to Valencia on Saturday. The players have sent a message ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal.

Bellingham and Mbappe acknowledged on social media that they needed to improve on the field before a crucial week. Los Blancos fell four points behind league leaders and fierce rivals Barcelona after a 2-1 loss to Valencia.

The Madrid side are hoping to win back-to-back Champions League trophies but will have to step up if they are to win against Arsenal on Tuesday. Their embarrassing performance against Valencia was an indication that they cannot play in the same way if they are to return to Bernabeu for the second leg with a win.

However, star players such as Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham have sent big warnings to other teammates and urged them to remain at their best when they travel to North London for their first-leg game of the Champions League.

Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham shared their dismay on their Instagram stories. The former stated: “A bad day for us. Full focus on Tuesday.”

Bellingham added the following:  â€œNowhere near good enough from us. Must change for Tuesday!”

The players’ thoughts are obviously focused on Madrid’s trip to North London to play Arsenal. Meanwhile, the Gunners have had a patchy season due to injuries. Their loss to Everton over the weekend means both teams will come into this game with less confidence. But given it’s a crucial game on a Champions League night, both sides will be vying for a win.

This season, winning the Champions League is most likely the only way to succeed. Arsenal will be motivated to prove they can compete with the reigning champions when they play Madrid for the first time since an aggregate victory of 1-0 in 2006.
