Kylian Mbappe name-drops Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi after reaching 400-goal landmark

The Frenchman netted a brace to lead France to World Cup qualification.
Kylian Mbappe discredited his 400 career goal landmark and insisted that there are two other greatest of all time he wants to match in his playing stint.
In just 537 games, Mbappe has scored 400 goals. With 235 goals for the Ligue 1 powerhouses, he is Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time top scorer. He is only two goals behind France’s top scorer, Olivier Giroud.
He will soon surpass Giroud, where the threshold for individual brilliance is expected to rise significantly. In 16 games this season, Mbappe has scored 18 goals for Real Madrid, demonstrating his continued excellence at the club level.
Mbappe hopes to reach Messi & Ronaldo’s goal tally
Kylian Mbappe still has more playing time ahead of him, and with the pace he continues to score goals, he will undoubtedly reach the tally of Messi and Ronaldo. In light of this, he sees no reason why he shouldn’t strive to match the accomplishments of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
“400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more. There is one with 950+ goals, and another with 900+, 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people”.
Mbappe won the most coveted trophy with France in 2018, before experiencing the ultimate heartbreak against Lionel Messi and Argentina in Qatar 2022. He scored a hat-trick before watching Les Bleus lose on penalties.
France are one of the favourites to advance all the way. When the group stage draw is held on December 5, they will find out who their early opponents are in that event.

He needed 537 games.
How many career goals has Ronaldo scored?
