Kylian Mbappe names two Real Madrid icons he hopes to play with

The Frenchman wishes to play with Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Children with disabilities questioned Kylian Mbappé, the striker for Real Madrid, on the BeIN Sports show “Be United.” They asked him about a variety of topics, such as his departure from Paris Saint-Germain last summer and the prospect of playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
The France captain said, “Without being biased, I’d say, Zinedine Zidane,” in response to a question on which player he would have most enjoyed playing with.
The eight kids all said in unison, “Paris Saint-Germain,” when Kylian Mbappé, who scored as Los Blancos won the 2024 Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday. They also asked him which team he favoured despite being a Madrid player. The former AS Monaco forward easily avoided a potentially embarrassing incident. “I am a fan now, but I will always be Parisian.”
Later on, the 25-year-old revealed that he would have cherished playing with his childhood hero, Cristiano Ronaldo: “I’ve played with fantastic players: Messi, Neymar, Griezmann, Pogba, Benzema… Playing with Cristiano Ronaldo would have been enjoyable, but it will now be extremely challenging. However, I had the good fortune to compete against him; he is a legendary figure in the sport.
Perhaps the most striking of his comments, however, concerned his contentious exit from PSG, in which he declared his affection for both his present and former teams.
“I spent seven years at PSG, it was an honor. I don’t think I’ve said it enough or shown it enough, but I’ve always been aware of where I am and what a great club PSG is. I’ve always said it’s the biggest club in France and one of the best in the world.
“I went to the biggest club in the world. I’ve always said it was the only club I would have left PSG for. If I couldn’t go to Real Madrid, I would have stayed at PSG my whole life. I had the dream of playing there, and I’m very happy I did. But, of course, I always watch PSG games, I have friends on the team, and they’re playing well at the moment.”
