Kylian Mbappe & other Real Madrid stars escape ban from UEFA with fine

Mbappe, Rudiger, & Viniciur Jr made inappropriate gestures towards Atletico fans in a previous UCL game.
The inquiry by UEFA into the celebrations of four Real Madrid players following their victory over rivals Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium in the Champions League is now complete.
After Atletico complained about the way they celebrated, Vinicius Jr., Dani Ceballos, Kylian Mbappe, and Antonio Rudiger were all the subject of an investigation. Fearing a ban, Rudiger was thought to be in a more serious situation.
Three players have been penalized for their acts, although none of the four have been suspended. According to José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, Rudiger will be hit with a larger punishment of $44,000. Ceballos would pay the smallest fine of $22,000, while Mbappe would be penalized $33,000.
Vinicius seems to have gotten away with his claimed behaviour. Meanwhile, Mbappe has been handed $10,000, more than Diego Simeone and Cristiano Ronaldo when they both made a similar inappropriate gesture in 2019.
If any of the three players did the same or a comparable behaviour in the next 12 months, they may all be suspended for one game.
Accordingly, all four players will be available for the April 8 opening leg of the UCL quarterfinal matchup with Arsenal. Some were worried that Rudiger’s gesture of slashing his throat might result in his ban. But Carlo Ancelotti & Co. will have the German centre-back for the crucial match.
A UEFA statement read: “Following the investigation of a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector, disciplinary proceedings were opened against the following Real Madrid CF players, Antonio Rüdiger, Kylian Mbappé, Daniel Ceballos Fernández for potentially violating the basic rules of decent conduct (Art. 11(2)(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations).
“No disciplinary proceedings were opened against Real Madrid CF player, Vinícius Júnior.
Meanwhile, Aurelien Tchouameni will miss Real Madrid’s encounter at the Emirates Stadium due to a one-match suspension following his yellow card against Atletico. Although Thibaut Courtois is questionable with an injury, Carlo Ancelotti is optimistic that his goalie will be cleared to play.
