Kylian Mbappe, the star of Real Madrid, is eager to get started after returning for preseason before the 2025–2026 season begins. The Frenchman has returned to training and is confident of making a major impact to win trophies in the upcoming season.

Real Madrid have returned to preseason play under new manager Xabi Alonso after a short hiatus following their action in the Club World Cup.

Despite adding Mbappe from PSG to the team, Los Blancos ended the previous season without taking home a major prize. They will be looking to resume their winning ways in the upcoming campaign.

Mbappe’s illness, which at one point almost sent the France star to the hospital, interrupted his Club World Cup campaign. Due to gastroenteritis, the forward also dropped about 5 lb while in the US, but he is now determined to go back to playing and is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Mbappe enjoyed an impressive debut season at the club, scoring 44 goals and breaking many records despite the club failing to lift any silverware. But he is now determined to win his maiden trophy with the club following the campaign.

After making it to the Club World Cup semifinals, Real Madrid have requested a postponement of their La Liga debut matchup with Osasuna.

The two clubs will meet as originally scheduled on August 19 at the Santiago Bernabeu after that request was turned down. The week before, Alonso’s team will go to Austria to play a friendly match against WSG Tirol.
