The French star has played alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar

Real Madrid and French star Kylian Mbappe has revealed that “it would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo”.

Mbappe who looked up to Ronaldo as an inspiration when growing up joined Real Madrid last summer. He broke onto the scene when he was at AS Monaco and went on to become one of the most promising players. He secured a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain after his talent was recognised in Europe.

There he further solidified his status as one of the best players besides Lionel Messi and Ronaldo. At PSG, Mbappe played with many big stars such as Messi and Neymar.

However, his dream was to play with Ronaldo, despite playing against him at club and national team level, Mbappe revealed his relationship with the Portuguese star and told BeIN Sports:

“I have played with great players: Messi, Neymar, Griezmann, Pogba, Benzema… It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, but it is going to be very complicated now. However, I was lucky to have played against him, a legend of the sport.”

Ever since he cemented himself at Monaco, Mbappe has grown to become one of the best players in the sport and has been often compared to Ronaldo because of his burst of pace and trickery.

Kylian Mbappe’s dream transfer to Real Madrid

Mbappe also made his dream move to Madrid this summer and will hope to emulate Ronaldo’s career at the club. However, so far the player has barely made a big influence given the struggle he endured.

But now he seems to be settling well and the player has now scored three goals in the last three matches for the club and will hope to continue his hot form for Los Blancos this season.

Real Madrid are currently top of the league after beating Sevilla 4-2 as their rival Barcelona have suddenly suffered a blip in form and are third in the standing.
