Kylian Mbappe tips Arsenal for Premier League title this season

The Gunners have finished second in the last three seasons.
Even though Kylian Mbappe acknowledges that Liverpool are the favourite, he still thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League this season.
The Gunners will be motivated to win this season after finishing in second place three times in a row, losing to Manchester City twice and Liverpool once.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, will be encouraged by Mbappe’s support. But he knows he needs to put up a better title fight than the one he had last season after spending just over £250 million ($338 million) on new players this summer.
Mbappe puts his money on Arteta’s side to lift the league this season

Even though Dominik Szoboszlai’s incredible goal against them last weekend handed the Gunners their first defeat of the season, Mbappe still believes they are in the best position to win the title for the first time in twenty-two years.
When asked by BILD who would win the Premier League, Mbappe said: “Of course, Liverpool has to be mentioned first and foremost, as they’re determined to win one title after another. But I also have high hopes for Arsenal, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time, and that’s a crucial factor in football.
“And Manchester City is always at the forefront anyway, with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland.
“Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year. It would certainly be easier to say City or Liverpool.”
Mbappe witnessed the danger of the Gunners firsthand when he lost both legs of the quarterfinal Champions League match against them in April. Over the course of the 180 minutes, Jakub Kiwior and William Saliba minimised the Frenchman’s threat, preventing him from scoring any goals.
After thrashing Los Blancos 3-0 at the Emirates, Arteta’s team left the Santiago Bernabeu with a comparatively easy 2-1 victory, winning 5-1 overall. In the semi-final, the Gunners would lose to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Next weekend marks the Gunners’ return to Premier League play after the September international break. They will be eager to defeat Nottingham Forest decisively to make up for their loss at Anfield. The following Tuesday, Arsenal will travel to Athletic Club to begin their Champions League campaign.
