Barcelona ace Lamine Yamal return timeline after suffering hamstring strain with Spain

FCB have some big matches coming up in the upcoming weeks
Following an early return from Spain duty due to an “overload,” Barcelona have revealed that forward Lamine Yamal is sidelined with a hamstring issue.
Yamal has been briefly sidelined after undergoing more testing in Barcelona. Yamal is now doubtful for Barca’s upcoming LaLiga match against Sevilla on Sunday as a result of the injury.
Given that FCB will then play Bayern and Real Madrid, Flick would not want to take any chances with him in that match.
In reality, Flick doesn’t have many alternatives for attack at the moment. Prior to the international break, Ferran Torres picked up an injury, while Dani Olmo is still recovering.
Fermin Lopez, Olmo, and Gavi might all be cleared to play against Sevilla, but Flick might be hesitant to start any of them following injury layoffs.
In the past, Barcelona have suffered because of overworked players on international service. Nearly a year after damaging his ACL playing for Spain in November 2023, Gavi is just about to return to first-team football.
Luis de la Fuente, the manager of the national team, had remarked, “Good players never rest,” the day before the midfielder collapsed on the ground, clutching his knee.
However, the Spanish heavyweights are guilty of depending on Yamal. The 17-year-old has started in 11 of Barcelona’s 12 games this season across all competitions. Yamal scored a spectacular goal off the bench even though he was rested for the trip to Osasuna last month.
Last month, coach Hansi Flick gave a statement that uncannily echoed De la Fuente’s position on rotation, despite Barcelona’s repeated pleas to remove the teenager from the national team’s squad. “I tell Lamine champions don’t rest.”
However, now Barcelona will be cautious with Yamal given the number of matches he is playing and barely getting any rest as the Spanish side doesn’t want Yamal to experience any serious injury like Gavi.
