Argentina have chosen Kansas City, Missouri, as the location of their training camp in preparation to defend their 2022 World Cup championship.
On June 16, they will make their 2026 World Cup debut at Arrowhead Stadium against Algeria. Lionel Messi’s final World Cup appearance could take place in 2026, and the defending champions are already preparing.

Due to the distance between places and the amenities available to the delegation, the AFA declared that after a thorough final report and multiple assessment trips led by the Physical Trainer Luis Martín, the Alternate Physical Trainer Juan Tamone, and the administrators Daniel Cabrera and Alberto Pernas, it was determined that Kansas City would be the best location to set up a base there.
The Compass Minerals National Performance Centre, where Lionel Scaloni’s team will train, is also where Sporting Kansas City, the local Major League Soccer team, trains.
