The hosts of the 2030 and 2034 men’s FIFA World Cup have been confirmed
Football’s most famous competition has been the FIFA World Cup which allows every country around the globe to participate in the competition and whoever wins the golden trophy becomes an immortal nation.
Over the centuries around 17 countries have hosted the competition and many of them had a chance to win the trophy. The first FIFA World Cup competition was held in 1930 and Uruguay were the first country to host the event.
Since then 17 nations have organised the competition, which began with 17 countries participating in the tournament and has now expanded to 46 team competitions that will take part in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
However, the most dominant national in this tournament has been Brazil who have won the trophy record five times, then comes Germany, France and Argentina. They are also the countries that are always favourites to win the trophy when they participate every four years.
This time USA will be co-hosting the World Cup for the second time along with Canada and Mexico in 2026. Meanwhile, Mexico will be the first country to host the tournament three times. Europe has become the continent to host the World Cup most times with 11 of the 22 editions taking place in European soil.
