List of all legends set to feature in Real Madrid vs Barcelona friendly match in Japan

Barcelona have revealed a thrilling match for supporters worldwide which is set to take place in Asia. On December 15, at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, the FC Barcelona Legends, headed by legends like Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Javier Mascherano, and Rafa Marquez, will play the Real Madrid Legends.
As some of football’s biggest stars return to the field, this friendly match, which will be held in Japan for the first time in history, is sure to be an emotional evening.
This game is especially important to Iniesta, who recently retired from Vissel Kobe, a Japanese team, after five years of service. In what is referred to as “The Last Dance” for the adored player, fans in Japan will get one final opportunity to witness the midfield maestro in Barcelona colours.
With a stadium of the size of Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium, which can accommodate over 48,000 spectators, the game is anticipated to attract a passionate audience of fans who are excited to see these legends play again.
Launched in 2016, the Barca Legends initiative maintains ties between previous players and the club while highlighting their principles and global presence.
The match in Tokyo in December is only one of several exhibitions that let supporters all around the world re-connect with Barcelona’s legendary players and honour the team’s history.
Barca’s squad will also include Xavi, who just left as the team’s head coach, which will further heighten the excitement. He joins Marquez and Mascherano, who are each making their first appearance in a Legends match since retiring.
Due to their distinguished playing careers for Barcelona, these players bring special legacies to the field. Some of Real Madrid’s most renowned players from the “Galacticos” era will be included in the Legends squad.
