Vinicius Jr has entered the select group of players who have scored 100 goals for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos defeated Red Bull Salzburg 5-1 in the Champions League, and the Brazilian forward’s brace made it a century of goals in his Madrid career.

In the historic club’s all-time goalscorer lists, he now sits on par with Fernando Morientes and rises to number 23.

He will probably overtake Madrid greats like Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, and Ronaldo Nazario in the upcoming weeks. But if he ever wants to catch Raul, Karim Benzema, or Cristiano Ronaldo near the top end, he will probably need to work hard throughout his career and increase his goal total.

Vinicius will undoubtedly overtake his countryman, but it’s unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo’s scoring tally will ever be topped. In just 438 club appearances, he tallied 450 goals. In all honesty, comparing Vinicius’s race to Ronaldo’s 100th Real Madrid goal is maybe a bit harsh.

At the age of 24, the Portuguese legend arrived at the Bernabeu for a world-record sum, having already won a Ballon d’Or and a Champions League.

Vinicius resembles Endrick more. When Madrid agreed to acquire him from Flamengo, he was only 16 years old, still very raw and untrained. But the forward has grown into a massive difference-maker at the club and he will certainly go on to score more goals in the white shirt.
