The Italian head coach will take charge of Selecao after the end of the season.
Here is a list of every Brazilian player Carlo Ancelotti has coached throughout his career, as well as those in the current Brazil squad that he is already familiar with. He is all set to start his duties as the next coach in charge of the national team.
On Monday, Ancelotti was named Brazil’s next head coach. After Real Madrid’s LaLiga season concludes on May 26, he will formally start working in the position and guide the squad to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His initial roster is anticipated to be revealed by the end of May. His team’s first tests will take place in World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay on June 6 and June 11, respectively.
During his club managerial employment, Ancelotti has managed well over 40 Brazilian players, including four previous Ballon d’Or winners—Kaka, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho—all of whom he had at AC Milan.
The majority of the players that Ancelotti coached at Real Madrid and Everton—Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Endrick, Eder Militao, Casemiro, and Richarlison—are still regulars for Brazil’s national team when healthy and fit.
With 270 combined appearances, Kaka has been utilised by Ancelotti more than any other Brazilian in his career to date. Dida is not far behind with 267 shared appearances, followed by Rodrygo in third place with 208, Serginho with 201, and Vini Jr. with 197.
