The Egpytian earlier revealed he could leave the club after the end of the season.

Mohamed Salah’s contract will come to an end in the summer of 2025, and Liverpool are allegedly close to agreeing to an extension.

Salah is perhaps Liverpool’s best player in the Premier League era and has been the best forward to adorn the team’s front line since Luis Suarez left in 2014. The Egyptian’s contract, however, expires in the summer of 2025. His future has been the subject of much conjecture.

Liverpool are ‘on the brink’ of tying Salah down to an extension, according to The Mirror. Salah’s attorney, Rammy Abbas, told Liverpool that he wanted his client to have a three-year contract, even though the club’s top management was initially only willing to extend it by one year.

Although money was never considered to be the main source of contention during negotiations, it appears that a compromise has been made about a two-year contract.

With 13 goals and eight assists in 14 Premier League games so far this season, Salah is still a vital member of Liverpool’s squad. He has contributed 226 goals and achieved two League Cups, the FA Cup, the Premier League, and the Champions League in 370 games for the Reds.

Virgil van Dijk, 33, has not yet signed a contract extension because FSG is hesitant to provide lengthy deals to players who have reached 30. His current contract, like Salah’s, expires in the summer.

Salah will sign a new, lucrative two-year contract, barring any last-minute difficulties. This will be great news for manager Arne Slot, who has already realized he has acquired a treasure. The Saudi Pro League, which hoped to add the Egypt international to their list of prominent talents, will also suffer a setback. Al-Ittihad’s £150 million offer was turned down by Liverpool last summer.

Salah has also abandoned a name-your-price opportunity to play in the Middle East by agreeing to a new Liverpool contract. He is now dedicated to vying for more trophies in Merseyside, much to the delight of his devoted Liverpool supporters.
