City are second in the Premier League table.

Manchester City will play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon at Molineux in an attempt to maintain their undefeated Premier League start.

In their first seven Premier League games this season, the Cityzens have won five and drawn two. Most recently, they defeated Fulham 3-2 at home before the international break.

Pep Guardiola’s team are only one point below leaders Liverpool in the Premier League standings and are tied with Arsenal on points.

Guardiola hinted earlier this month that Kevin De Bruyne would be able to return following October’s international break, despite the playmaker missing Manchester City’s last five games due to a groin ailment.

Due to a muscular injury sustained during the September international break, Nathan Ake has not played in Manchester City’s last seven games. However, Guardiola has previously hinted that the defender would be ready to return following the October international break.

Below we take a look at City’s injury news against Wolves.

Manchester City injury news vs Wolves

Guardiola’s key player Rodri’s absence will certainly hurt City this season. The midfielder will miss the rest of the term with an ACL injury he sustained against Arsenal. This is a major blow for the club given how important the midfielder is to their performance.

Rodri, an important midfield player for Manchester City, will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury to his knee ligament sustained in last month’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Oscar Bobb may be able to return by the end of this year after suffering a fracture to a leg bone during an exercise session in August. He was sidelined for three to four months.

Guardiola’s side will be boosted by the return of Nathan Ake who has not played since the September international break, while Kevin De Bruyne should also be fit to face Wolves.
