Manchester City vs AC Milan: Live streaming, TV channel, kick-off time & where to watch pre-season friendlies
The Cityzens lost 4-3 to Celtic in their opening pre-season game.
Manchester City had a fantastic last season. They were once again victorious in the Premier League, claiming their fourth consecutive title. This also happened to be their sixth in the previous seven seasons.
There is no doubt, Pep Guardiola has wildly changed the outlook of this team since his appointment. But they do still get sour endings here and there. In the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League, in a neck-to-neck battle against Real Madrid, their fate was to end the continental journey in the quarter-final stage itself.
The season was expected to close with an FA Cup triumph, at least in the hearts of the fans. However, Manchester United prevailed on the judgement day at the Wembley stadium. The Sky Blues do have a chance to get back at them in the FA Community Shield final on 10 August. But before entering the competitive game schedule of the 2024-25 season, Guardiola and Co. will have to take care of some pre-season games.
After a 4-3 defeat to Celtic in the last friendly, City have AC Milan up next on their tour. They will later involve themselves in two more pre-season games, against Barcelona and Chelsea, before going competitive for the Community Shield against United.
AC Milan, who are all set to face Man City, are still moulding themselves into the ideas of fairly new manager Paulo Fonseca at the helm. Fonseca has already taken his team around two pre-season games. They are yet to taste victory so far.
The Italian outfit had a hard time in the league last campaign. They managed to finish in second place in the Serie A but weren’t really competing for the title. Inter Milan, with their strong performance, ended the 2023-24 league season with 19 points lead over AC Milan and the title.
The Rossoneri too suffered a quarter-final exit in European competition. But unlike Man City, they were competing in the UEFA Europa League. After facing City, the Fonseca-led Milan team will be testing their mettle against El Clasico clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Where to watch Manchester City vs AC Milan pre-season clash around the globe?
These two ever-green European giants will partake in a pre-season friendly at the Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium is basically a baseball stadium in New York City, United States. However, New York City FC do utilise this sporting arena for their MLS games.
Expect a mouth-watering clash between these two teams. Stopping Erling Haaland will be one of the main tasks for the Milan mastermind Paulo Fonseca.
Anyhow, the game is scheduled to kick off at 11 pm (UK) on Saturday 27 July. For the viewers in India, one can tune in at 3:30 am on 28 July, Sunday.
For viewers in the United Kingdom, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Sweden and United Arab Emirates: mancity.com and CITY+ app should be their go-to resource to catch live action.
In the US, ESPN+, fuboTV, ESPN App, ESPN and ESPN Deportes, will come in handy for the live match experience. For various other countries, DStv will be broadcasting the game on local TV channels.
