Manchester City's UCL 2024-25 fixtures: Date, time, stadium & more
City will face PSG, Inter Milan and Juventus in the new UCL format.
The schedule for Manchester City’s participation in the newly redesigned Champions League league phase has been announced.
Pep Guardiola’s club will play four away matches and four home games against eight distinct opponents between September 18 and January 29.
In the opening Champions League game of the season, City will take on Inter Milan in a rematch of the Istanbul final from 2023.
Teams that place ninth through twenty-fourth will play in a two-leg knockout play-off to have the opportunity to join the top eight teams, which will automatically advance to the round of sixteen.
Instead of having groups, the new Champions League structure will have a single 36-team league. The league phase will consist of eight games for each of the competing teams.
The procedure was initiated by Manchester City, who were the first side to be drawn from Pot 1 in the latest draw.
For the second consecutive year, City were the most-watched football team in the world during the previous season. Strong results in a variety of events, such as the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Premier League, were largely responsible for that.
