The Red Devils are in the market for a new goalkeeper.

Manchester United are now exploring a stunning return of David de Gea at Old Trafford amid the uncertainty of Andre Onana’s future at the club.

According to the Sun, Man Utd are considering bringing the Spanish goalkeeper back after he made an impression during the Red Devils’ friendly game against Fiorentina, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In De Gea’s Fiorentina contract, there is a clause which allows the custodian to leave the team for a small sum, and now there are speculation that United are exploring triggering that provision.

David De Gea left United in 2023 after his contract with the club was not renewed, making 545 appearances at the club during his 12 years there. After being unemployed for more than a year, he managed to find a club, Fiorentina, where he made an instant impact.
